Job Description

The Sales Engineer is responsible for promoting, selling, and supporting marine equipment and services by combining technical knowledge with commercial expertise. The role involves understanding client requirements, providing technical solutions, preparing quotations, and supporting the sales process to achieve company revenue targets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive and acknowledge customer enquiries
  • Understand customer technical requirements, capture scope, and propose appropriate solutions.
  • Prepare calculation sheet and submit technical and commercial proposals, quotations, and tenders
  • Promote company products and services to existing and potential clients.
  • Coordinate and work closely with intercompany colleagues to ensure effective sales support
  • Coordinate with engineering, operations, and procurement teams to ensure accurate costing and timely delivery.
  • Work under the guidance of senior team members and assist colleagues to ensure timely and accurate task completion.
  • Follow up on inquiries, negotiations, and closing of sales.
  • Maintain and update client database, sales reports.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and contractual obligations.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to support business growth.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical / Electrical / Marine or related field preferred)
  • Minimum 2–5 years of experience in sales engineering, preferably in marine equipment or related industries.
  • Strong technical understanding of marine systems, equipment, or services.
  • Experience in preparing quotations, tenders, and technical documentation.

  • Ability to understand technical drawings and specifications.
  • Ability to work under pressure and multitasking
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Working Conditions

  • May require travel to client sites, shipyards, and offshore locations.

Other Requirements

  • Valid UAE driving license is preferred.
  • Ability to work under pressure and support sales targets.
