Inside Sales Engineer – spare parts

We are looking for a Mechanical or Electrical Engineer to join our team at our Singapore office, with 2 to 4 years of relevant experience in technical customer support. The ideal candidate should have a background in handling service and spares-related requests, technical evaluations, and managing customer interactions from quotation to order processing.

About the job

As part of our support function, you will be at the heart of our customer relationships, guiding clients from technical evaluation through to final delivery of critical spare parts. You will review service requests, create tailored quotations, manage communication with international teams, and ensure a smooth and reliable customer experience from start to finish. This position is ideal for someone who is structured, proactive, and committed to quality service.

You’ll work closely with both internal stakeholders and global supply teams, handling everything from clarifying technical requirements to tracking order execution. While your primary base is office-based, the role is fast-paced, dynamic, and central to maintaining high customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate incoming Requests for Quotation (RFQs) to determine the correct technical and commercial solutions.
  • Prepare and follow up on spare part quotations, supporting customers through the purchasing process.
  • Communicate with clients to clarify terms and timelines, providing clear updates on quotation and delivery status.
  • Manage internal coordination with finance, compliance, credit, and technical departments to support accurate and timely execution.
  • Liaise with global teams and product centres to obtain pricing, lead times, and part availability.
  • Maintain ownership of cases, ensuring timely resolution and clear documentation.
  • Prioritise urgent requests and provide proactive service to ensure customer uptime and satisfaction.

About You

You are a mechanical or electrical engineer with a passion for delivering excellent customer support. You take pride in turning complex technical information into practical solutions, and you’re comfortable working across departments to get the job done right. Whether you’re analysing a technical specification or resolving a last-minute request, you approach your work with structure, initiative, and a customer-first mindset.

You have a few years of experience in technical support or service coordination – ideally in a marine or industrial setting – and you enjoy a role that requires both technical insight and interpersonal finesse.

We believe you’ll thrive in this role if you:

  • Have a degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or similar technical education.
  • Bring 2–4 years of experience in technical customer support, service coordination, or spares handling.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with both customers and internal teams.
  • Are confident in your understanding of commercial terms and comfortable drafting quotations.
  • Work in a structured and organised way, especially when handling multiple customer cases.
  • Are familiar with digital tools and platforms used for quotations, CRM, and order processing.
  • (Bonus) Have experience with marine boilers, incinerators, or inert gas systems.
