A stronger partner at sea as Global Boiler integrates with G&O Maritime Group
With Global Boiler now part of G&O Maritime Group, customers will benefit from a broader service offering, deeper technical knowledge, and a future-ready partner in an evolving industry. Head of Boiler Service, Palani Kumar, shares his insights on the strategic thinking behind the merger, the synergies it unlocks and what customers can expect moving forward.
When Global Boiler formally joined G&O Maritime Group in January 2025, it marked more than the integration of two respected marine businesses. It was the beginning of a strengthened customer offering built on shared values, complementary expertise, and an ambition to shape the future of maritime service.
Palani Kumar, now heading the group’s Boiler Service Management division, brings a unique perspective. Having built Global Boiler’s operations in the Middle East and Africa from the ground up, he has seen first-hand what it takes to create customer value across regions and cultures.
“We are proud to join the G&O family,” says Palani Kumar. “From the beginning, our discussions focused not just on commercial goals but on what the merger would mean for our customers and how we could create real value together.”

One point of contact, multiple solutions
Global Boiler’s strengths lie in advanced service solutions for marine boilers, including repairs, automation, and spare parts. The company has a strong presence worldwide, particularly in Denmark, Dubai, Singapore, China, and Poland, with a workforce representing more than 25 nationalities.
By becoming part of G&O Maritime Group, Global Boiler gains access to a wider product portfolio and a unified service platform. For customers, this means the convenience of a one-stop solution, with service agreements covering multiple products and faster, more coordinated support.
“Customers will immediately notice the advantage of integrated service and product offerings,” Palani explains. “We already share customers with several other G&O brands. Now we can offer complete solutions under one roof and develop frame agreements that simplify operations and reduce costs.”

Expanding global reach
The merger also opens new opportunities for technological collaboration across G&O’s brands. Knowledge sharing between Global Boiler’s service specialists and G&O’s product engineers will lead to continuous improvement and innovation — essential in a market shaped by new regulations and technologies.
“Maritime customers today face increasing complexity,” says Palani. “By combining our knowledge, we can help them stay ahead of the curve and future-proof their operations.”
While G&O Maritime Group has traditionally maintained a strong Danish workforce, Global Boiler brings an international dimension that strengthens the group’s ability to serve customers.
“If a customer in India needs support, it makes sense for someone with local knowledge to take the lead,” says Palani. “It’s about using our combined strengths to deliver better service.”
A platform for growth
Looking ahead, Palani sees significant growth potential in Floating Production Systems offshore markets, where G&O already has a strong foothold. New service offerings are also being developed in partnership with other brands in the group, including ATLAS Incinerators and G&O Compensators.
“We are already collaborating across the group, and this will only accelerate,” he notes. “The market recognises the advantages of working with a partner that can offer not just products but a complete package of services.”
For Palani and his team, the focus remains on customer success. “We are here to solve problems and create value. That has always been our approach, and it will continue to guide us as part of G&O Maritime Group.”
